A big part of our mission is to make all people aware of the issue of childhood homelessness and how they can help. HFC regularly visits schools and community groups with an agenda d

esigned to target this mission.
We bring to light the issue of homelessness while

empowering people to ‘be the change’ in their communities. We work with the faculty and students and community members to plan and carry out a fundraising project that not only helps raise money to provide children experiencing homelessness with the tools to create; it lets students witness how they can be a true part of making a tangible change in someone’s life.

Some great ideas have included: change drives, bake sales, Crazy Hat Days, or even a Pajama Day!

We also schedule follow up visits
with information about the shelter and number of children that were helped with their fundraiser so that they can see first hand how much their actions can make a difference.
